Mozart's Top 5 Beautiful Arias for Female Voice - #5 Ruhe Sanft     Song Details: Two years before Mozart's first successful operatic masterpiece "Abduction from the Seraglio," Mozart began to write "Zaide," a German  "rescue" opera that deviated from the norm of a male hero rescuing his lady in distress (like Belmonte rescuing Konstanze in "Abduction") and instead told the story of a heroine, Zaide, who rescues her lover Gomatz.Mozart never finished "Zaide", and the music was not performed until long after he died. Yet Mozart's unmatched genius comes to life in this, Mozart's most lyrical aria, "Ruhe Sanft" ("Sleep Safely"). Performance Details: This production is from the M22 Opera Collection. It is special because this is the debut performance of Mojca Erdmann, a relatively new singer to the stage in 2006, at the Mozart Salzburg Festival. I have heard several different performances of this aria, and only Natalie Dessay matches Erdmann in heart and emotion. Johannes Kalitzke and the Austrian Ensemble for New Music provide orchestral accompaniment. 모짜르트- 오페라 자이데 K.344 아리아 'Ruhe sanft, mein holdes leben'                                                                                                  ZAIDE는 모차르트의 미완성 오페라로 1막 3장에 나오는 아리아 'Ruhe sanft, mein holdes leben'은 유럽의 귀족신분이나 오스만투르크의 왕인 술탄의 애첩 신세가 된 자이데가 노예로 잡혀온 고마츠를 향해 부르는 사랑의 노래이다. 언젠가 사랑이 이루어지기를 고대하는 애절한 감성이 느껴지는 곡이다. 1778년 오스트리아의 전신인 신성로마제국의 황제 죠셉2세는 순수 독일 오페라의 공연을 목적으로 오페라단을 조직하는데, 모차르트는 이 오페라단을 위하여 Zeide 의 작곡을 시작 1780 년에는 15개 성악부분을 끝냈다. 그러나 모차르트는 또 다른 오페라 Idomeneo"의 작곡을 위하여 중도에서 이 오페라를 포기 다시는 이프로젝트를 돌보지않은채 그후 이 오페라는 잊혀지는 듯 했으나 모짜르트가 죽은 후 그의 부인이 뿔뿔이 흩어진 채로 방기된 원고를 발견하여 1866년 1월 27일에 초연을 갖게 되었다. 물론 이오페라는 미완성 작품으로 오페라로서 상연된 것은 아니었다. 오페라는 미완성인만큼 무대에는 거의 오르지 못하지만 아리아 'Ruhe sanft, mein holdes leben'만은 자주 연주된다.    오페라의 줄거리는 대략 이렇다. 오스만 투르크족의 왕인 술탄의 총애를 받고 있는 유럽 출신의 애첩 자이데는 왕의 총애를 받고 있었으나 고마츠로 불리는 노예와 사랑에 빠진다. 술탄도 자이데를 매우 어여삐 여기던 터라 이에 몹시 질투하게 되자, 술탄의 신하인 알라짐의 도움으로 둘은 야반 도주를 감행한다. 그러나 둘은 결국은 잡혀오게 되고  탈출은 실패로 끝나 신하인 알라짐이 술탄 왕에게 선처를 호소하지만 술탄의 복수심과 상처입은 자존심은 누그러지지 않는다. 그러나 자이데는 모든 부귀영화를 뿌리치고 노예 고마츠를 택한다는 내용이다. 모이차 에르트만(Mojca Erdmann)이 부르는 모차르트의 미완성 오페라인 자이데(Zaide)에 나오는 Ruhe sanft(편히 주무세요). 소프라노들이 즐겨 부르는 명곡. 자이데는 이 오페라의 여주인공이다. 독일 함부르크 태생의 소프라노입니다. 20190126challea5913 Mojca Erdmann Ruhe Sanft, Mein Holdes Leben Ruhe sanft, mein holdes Leben, schlafe, bis dein Glück erwacht; da, mein Bild will ich dir geben, schau, wie freundlich es dir lacht.
