Columbia Symphony Orchestra Victor Herbert의 1910년 2막 오페라 "Naughty Marietta(말괄량이 마리에타)" 중 AH! sweet mystery of life (아!, 인생의 감미로운 신비)이다. 실즈는 1947년 필라델피아에서 '카르멘'으로 오페라 무대에 데뷔한 뒤 1980년 뉴욕 시티 오페라에서 고별 갈라 콘서트를 열 때까지 30여 년간 미국의 정상급 소프라노로 활동했다. 1979년부터 뉴욕 시티 오페라의 총감독을 10년간 지냈고, 2002년부터는 뉴욕 메트로폴리탄 오페라 극장 (메트)의 이사회 의장으로 활동했다.
