그리운 옛사랑의 노래
이 노래를 작곡한James Lynam Molloys는 1837년 8월에 출생하여 1909년에 사망한 아일랜드의 시인, 작가 및 작곡가이다. 그의 중간 이름 Lynam(라이남)은 자주 Lyman(라이만)으로 스펠이 잘못쓰이고 있으며 그는 초기에 콘서트 홀에서 상연하는 인기가곡을 쓰고 출판하는데 열심이었으나 그 후에 그가 작곡한 노래 The Old Cottage Clock , Bantry Bay 와 The Kerry Dance로 인기를 얻었다. 1884년에 작곡한 Love's Old Sweet Song(옛사랑의 달콤한노래 : 그리운 옛사랑의 노래)으로 선원들외에 많은 사람들의 사랑을 받게 되고 이 노래로 가장큰 성공을 거두었고, 이 노래는 보통 크래식으로 분류한다.
